Connecting Our Community
Livermore Rotary and Family Night
We participated in the Livermore Rotary Family BBQ to represent our program to local civic leaders.
We met the Mayor of Livermore and discussed the impact of our work and the importance of STEM to our community. This allowed us to practice networking and articulate our technical goals to high-level stakeholders and community sponsors.
Livermore Farmer's Market
We hosted a high-visibility outreach event at the local Farmers Market where we managed a live demonstration area and facilitated hands-on robotics experiences for children. This provided a low-barrier entry point to engineering concepts by promoting the FTC’s values and increasing local awareness of youth robotics opportunities. This event required coordinated logistics and the ability for every team member to communicate technical hardware functions to a non-technical audience.
MidAutumn Festival
We hosted an interactive booth at the Tet Trung Thu festival in Mountain View. We engaged with hundreds of visitors from the Vietnamese community and provided live demonstrations and technical insights to families
By doing so, we bridged cultural and linguistic gaps to promote FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and demonstrated our commitment to making STEM accessible and inclusive to diverse populations across the Bay Area.
